Privacy Policy

Summary

StepBloom (“the app”) is published by Chore Coach LLC, doing business as Lindon Digital (“we”, “us”). We built StepBloom to work without accounts or servers. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information.

Your Apple Health data stays on your device and in Apple Health. It is never sent to us, never shared with advertisers, and never used for advertising or marketing. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects limited data to show and measure ads, as described below.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any account details. We do not operate servers that receive data from the app, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data

What the app writes. With your permission, StepBloom writes the steps and walking + running distance you enter to Apple Health.

What the app reads. With your permission, StepBloom reads your step count to show your daily total, goal progress, streak, and weekly chart.

How it is handled. Health data is processed only on your device. We never transmit it to our own or third-party servers, never share it with advertisers or data brokers, never use it for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and never sell it.

Your control. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app (your profile picture › Apps › StepBloom). You can delete entries StepBloom added in the Health app under Steps › Show All Data.

Data stored on your device

Your daily step goal and app preferences are stored only on your device. They are removed when you delete the app.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows banner, app-open, and optional rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, limit how often you see them, and measure their performance, Google may collect:

• device identifiers such as the identifier for vendors (IDFV)
• approximate location derived from your IP address
• ad interaction data (for example, ads viewed or tapped)
• diagnostic data such as crash and performance information

StepBloom does not request permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, so it does not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). Data collected for ads is not linked to your identity by us, and Health data is never shared with Google.

Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Learn more about how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. StepBloom PRO removes all ads.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether you have an active purchase, so PRO features can be unlocked.

Children

StepBloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help.

Data retention and security

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not retain any. Health data and settings stay on your device, protected by iOS security, until you delete them or the app. Ad-related data is retained by Google according to its own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we hold none to access or delete. For ad-related data, you can reset or limit ad settings on your iPhone and manage your choices with Google. If you have any request or question, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how StepBloom handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
